VAC Causes FPS Drops in CS2

VAC causes CS2 FPS drops

Valve's anti-cheat system in Counter-Strike 2 is eating up frames per second for gamers. This conclusion was reached by one of the CS2 users, who compared CS2 FPS drops performance with VAC enabled and disabled.

To disable VAC, players need to enter the command -insecure in the shooter's launch parameters. However, gamers won't be able to access official servers with it. Moreover, the FPS decrease issue is not observed by all players: some gamers noted that they did not notice any difference in performance.

Earlier in CS2, a patch was released that tightened the rules for players with VAC bans. Now, Steam accounts that have been banned will no longer be able to play on secure Counter-Strike game servers.
